Hopes and Fears
Kendra King
I was asked to take four minutes and thirty-three seconds to sit silently and let the world around me in. At first, I balked at the idea—letting the world in means letting everything in. Letting everything in is SCARY. As I sat silently I wasn't sure what my contribution would be. I'm not a writer. I'm not a videographer. I'm not a singer. As all of these questions whirred around, a picture came to mind of what my life has been during this insane time. I may not be an artist, but I wanted to record what went through my mind, in the best way I could (with my son's Crayola set) and not worry about what I am, how good I am, or what I am not.
