Spring
In this quiet instance
we live the hardness
of endurance, of solace,
our will to go on, bereft.
Still we do, as if no
other choice exists.
Follow the thousand
stars of new night,
traverse the celestial arc,
transform to light, new day.
Bound to our gravity,
flowers arrive in season.

Living in New York City and the larger America simultaneously proves the point. Jonathan is an MFA Candidate at the City College of New York in Harlem.
